Students gain increased practical learning and experiences working collaboratively with professionals who are working with individuals with disabilities and their families within a variety of settings. Students apply what they are learning in their academic courses to real life situations, planning adaptive curriculum, writing observations, implementing assessments and in developing support plans. They participate in inter-professional meetings and continue to develop their leadership skills by utilizing principles of adult education/training theory and practice through the development and implementation of training and educational opportunities.
