Course Code: ELIC 352
Academic Year: 2025-2026
Following the study of electromagnetic waves and their propagation properties in different media, students will learn to calculate and measure transmission line, waveguide and antenna parameters in order to assess the proper working of a communications system. They will learn to identify the frequency bands of different communication services and to select and install transmission lines, antennas, waveguides and other microwave components to meet requirements for terrestrial and satellite communication systems. The course concludes with a survey of the latest antenna technologies used in cellular telephony and other wireless applications.
