There are many facets associated with planning, organizing, and leading an event. Food and beverage is a key component of event management. Students will understand the fundamentals of Food & Beverage concepts, trends, service styles, set-ups and dietary restrictions when planning an in-person, hybrid, and virtual event. Key certifications required in the Event industry are also included: Smart Serve and BASICS.fst. Basic fundamentals of wines, beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages and how to plan based on budgetary constraints will provide the remaining foundational aspects of Food & Beverage for event professionals.
