This course familiarizes students with the terminology, characteristics and materials of ethical and sustainable apparel, accessories and home fashion merchandise. Students learn about the methods and techniques employed in the sourcing, manufacturing, consumer case and ultimate disposal processes used. Students ultimately develop an understanding of the relationship between ethical/sustainable fashion and conventional practices. Module three focuses on demonstrating proficiency in presenting a seminar on a segment of the fashion industry.
