This course builds on the principles acquired in the Financial Management course. Focus is placed on decisions related to capital structure and capital investments, including the determination of the cost of capital, various measures of capital project evaluation, and risks affecting capital decisions. Special attention is paid to capital budgeting, working capital management, dividend and share policies, and leverage. The course allows students to evaluate various business structures as they relate to investment management and introduces them to corporate governance and other ESG (environmental, social, and governance) considerations.
