In this course, students will learn to better understand the acting process and how to effectively communicate to develop compelling performances. Students will work on scene studies, character investigation, preparatory and on-set exercises, improvisation, rehearsal technique and on-camera work to arrive at a deeper understanding of the material and craft, be in the moment, and communicate constructively. Through a series of practical workshops, students will delve into the acting process, character motivation, and story and will examine subtle nuances that shape performance, and on-camera techniques to generate engaging work.
