In this course, students will learn how to use InDesign as the primary design and layout tool for creating production-ready documents of various sizes. Students will be introduced to the principles of page layout as well as fundamental design techniques and apply their understanding of contrast, repetition, proximity, and alignment through visual hierarchy. The course will also focus on pre-press and workflow efficiency tools for complex design projects. The fundamentals of InDesign will provide students with the skills to follow a design brief and create a suitable design for both digital outputs and print production.
