This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts, principles, and techniques used in research across various academic disciplines. Students will explore both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, focusing on the process of designing, conducting, and analyzing research studies. Topics include formulating research questions, hypothesis testing, data collection methods (e.g., surveys, experiments, interviews, arts-based methods), sampling strategies, ethical considerations, researcher positionality, GenAi research, and interpreting research findings. Through hands-on projects and critical analysis of case studies, students will develop the skills to critically evaluate research and apply appropriate methods in their own academic or professional contexts.
