Advanced Functions

Course Code: GMTH 130

Academic Year: 2025-2026

This course is designed to deepen students' understanding of functions, preparing them for post-secondary studies in mathematics, engineering, and the sciences. Students will explore the properties and operations of exponents, radicals, and algebraic expressions, including factoring and simplification techniques. They will solve linear and quadratic equations, as well as linear, quadratic, and absolute value inequalities. Additional topics include systems of linear equations, the rationalization of algebraic fractions, and polynomial, trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic, and piecewise functions. Students will also examine trigonometric identities and analyze functions through their domain, range, composition, transformations, and inverses.
