Ethics in a Globalized World - Interdisciplinary Perspectives

This course explores ethical challenges and dilemmas emerging from globalization and address issues with a critical and socially conscious mindset. Through an interdisciplinary approach, students will critically examine how globalization affects ethical decision-making at individual, organizational, and societal levels. Key themes may include decolonization, Indigenous sovereignty, human rights, environmental justice, corporate social responsibility, labour and economic inequities, global health, citizenship and borders and other issues emerging from the ongoing impacts of colonization and imperialism. The course combines theoretical frameworks with case studies to enable students to analyze real-world ethical issues in a globally connected society.
