This course moves beyond traditional shortform improvisation and challenges students to heighten and explore open scenes derived from monologues, audience suggestions and topical events as well as practice sophisticated techniques such as identifying and connecting themes, reincorporating ideas and motifs, while using advanced editing skills. Students develop stamina and rigor as they utilize re-improvisation as a key writing tool to create impactful, engaging comedic content.
