Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data are required skills for all modern healthcare managers. From junior managers to CEOs, using health data is now part of daily practice. This course teaches students about the data generating processes in health care, how to use common analytic tools and methods, and how to apply learnings to help solve contemporary problems in health care management. Topics include population-based needs assessment, case mix measurement, productivity measurement and benchmarking, outcomes evaluation, cost analysis, and forecasting.
