This course provides an overview of the Canadian healthcare system as it pertains to the field of Health Informatics. Focus will be on the structure, governance, and financing of the f federal, provincial, and territorial health care systems. The course also explores the challenges and opportunities in the Canadian healthcare landscape, including issues related to access, equity, and quality of care. Comparisons with international healthcare systems will be made to give students a broader perspective.
