In this course, students will explore the different types of health information systems (HIS) used in various healthcare settings, including electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems (CDSS), and patient management systems. The course covers key standards and protocols that ensure the interoperability and security of health information systems, such as HL7, DICOM, and FHIR. Students will analyze how standardized data exchange improves communication and coordination across healthcare sectors.
