This course focuses on the technical infrastructure required to support health information systems. Students will learn about the hardware, software, and networking components that enable health data to be securely gathered, transmitted and stored. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of system integration and maintenance, as well as the emerging technologies transforming healthcare IT.
