Beverages play a significant role in the success of many hospitality operations, particularly contributing to the overall success of both the business and the guest experience. Constructing beverages is a skill that extends beyond traditional beverage preparation. In this practical course, students will learn the knowledge and skills to successfully operate a beverage menu. Topics covered in this course include product knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits and the preparation of industry specific beverages. In addition, this class will include contemporary skills used by successful beverage managers/supervisors, which will further prepare students for employment in the field.
