Embedded Systems

Course Code: IENG 2500

Academic Year: 2025-2026

Students learn the basics of microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded systems, and real-time operating systems. Students examine the design and structure of the microcontroller systems and study software programming for microcontrollers. Students investigate practical designs with system models, including both software components and physical dynamics. Students explore typical applications, such as consumer electronics, smart devices, control systems, manufacturing and instrumentation, etc. Students develop hardware-software co-design skills with the state-of-the-art microcontrollers used in the industry.
