Course Code: INTD 2000
Academic Year: 2025-2026
Interior Design Studio is the core of the curriculum. It provides students with a learning experience and model environment in which industry practices and design theories are integrated into simulated projects. Collaboration, ideation, guided questioning and critical analysis using a recognized design process are emphasized at all levels of the studio courses. Emphasis is placed on the design process as well as on psychological factors such as colour, spatial quality and perception in development of the interior envelope. In this third level of the studio courses, students are led through studio projects, individually and collaboratively, in response to discipline-specific criteria demanding behavioural, conceptual and contextual consideration with a focus on workplace and health care settings. This course is the third in a series of six applied learning courses constructively building on techniques to deliver a full-scope, multi-media interior design project presentation and documentation.
