This course provides students with a virtual studio environment where industry practices and design theories are integrated into simulated projects. By synthesizing skills from all practical and theoretical resources developed throughout the program, students focus on the development, refinement and presentation of a thesis project that addresses all aspects of a non-residential or group-use facility. This is an individual advanced strategy studio project requiring industry mentorship. Students continue the relationship(s) established in Thesis I. Students work towards candidacy for thesis presentation. They utilize and expand on the approved programming document from Interior Design Thesis Programming. Emphasis is placed on appropriateness, supportive research, critical analysis and incorporation of sustainable practices as well as the innovation, functionality, creativity and communicative techniques of the thesis project design solution.
