In this course, students explore the fundamental concepts of epidemiology, encompassing the determinants and distribution of disease, measurements of disease and disease impact, research study design, interpreting biostatistics, and criteria for establishing causation. Building upon this foundational knowledge, students will examine and apply epidemiological principles to analyze, investigate outbreaks and surveillance, and implement preventative measures in diverse institutional settings.
