Students examine the practice of business reporting in Canada. As with sports and arts and entertainment reporting, business is one of the largest and expanding beats in the profession. Through readings, viewings and discussions, students explore the historical development of business reportage and its modern iterations through all digital media platforms from both legacy and traditional outlets. Business journalists attend guest speaker sessions to discuss professional practices and industry demands.
