Students learn about the practice of lifestyle reporting in Canada. Through readings, viewings and discussions, students explore the historical development of lifestyle reportage, traditionally the women's pages which evolved into its modern iterations through all digital media platforms from both legacy and traditional outlets. Lifestyle reporting today is one of the biggest freelance areas, particularly in digital media. Lifestyle journalists attend guest speaker sessions to discuss professional practices and industry demands.
