In this course, students will learn how to captivate an audience by crafting engaging news stories. They will be able to follow their interests while learning how to write clear, concise and digestible news content through real-life simulations and exercises. The course will focus on the basics of news writing, including the inverted pyramid, and news reporting techniques, particularly in a Canadian context. It will also include a self-driven learning module that focuses on teaching fundamentals of accessible content design across print, video and language usage.
