In this advanced course, students will employ leadership and reporter roles and learn the essential skills involved in writing, editing, fact-checking, design, and time management skills associated with the production of publication-quality print and online magazines in a real newsroom setting operating with multiple deadlines. They will organize extensive and complex bodies of research to develop long-form feature stories; plan a production schedule for multipal print and digital magazines to meeet established deadlines; and pitch stories professionally to an editor, communing news value and a planned journalistic approach to reporting.
