This advanced course integrates radio and TV reporting, offering students the flexibility to focus on their preferred broadcast format. Students will produce coverage of campus and community events for radio, online video, and social media. They will refine their skills by producing weekly TV newscasts, reading live radio newscasts on Radio Humber 96.9FM, and creating narrative podcasts on topics of their choice. The course includes hands-on experience in all newsroom roles, from producer to reporter, under tight deadlines. Emphasis is placed on professional industry standards, critical listening, and constructive critique, preparing students for a competitive broadcast journalism career.
