This course explores the history and theoretical foundations of Digital Communications. Students learn how the media functions and the role of corporate communications professionals. Emphasizing the development of strategic communication skills, the curriculum covers the planning of publications and events, focusing on identifying key audiences, needs, goals, and objectives. Students will critique media writing for intent, content, structure, style, and voice, and produce writing with a precisely expressed central idea which engages and informs.
