This course provides students with an introduction to the concepts of fluid mechanics. Topics covered in the course include pressure, hydrostatics, and buoyancy; open systems and control volume analysis; mass conservation and momentum conservation for moving fluids and flow through pipes. Students will model the engineering fluid systems through the application of the fundamental concepts and develop essential problem-solving skills to design flow systems.
