Course Code: MECH 327
Academic Year: 2025-2026
As the first part of the Capstone project, students apply the concepts learned and skills acquired in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program. Students work in small groups on assigned projects from the conceptual design to the final engineering document package and start by benchmarking engineering design concepts to decide the feasibility of the proposed design. Students evaluate mechanical design from the various production perspectives: assembly, manufacturing, quality control, and logistics. Students establish design risk analysis charts (D-FMEA), integrating interpersonal skills and professional ethics to work within the group and contribute equally to the project.
