This introductory course provides students with the knowledge and skills for careers in teaching contemporary music and/or graduate studies in music pedagogy. Students develop the knowledge, skills, materials, curricula, and methodologies for teaching music to students of all ages and abilities, regardless of the students age or experience level. Repertoire, resources and teaching techniques are developed through job shadowing, student teaching, and academic writing.
