In this course the students will learn about the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards, substantiating advertising claims, false or misleading advertising, especially in the context of violations of the Competition Act, the Copyright Act and the Trade-Mark Act, misappropriation of personality, price and credit advertising, user generated content, privacy law, competition law, and various channels of marketing communications.
