This course focuses on enhancing learners' knowledge of system administration on UNIX/Linux servers. Administration tasks include advanced storage management, bash scripting, SELinux security settings and data protection. Students also execute the installation and configuration of server applications (e.g. ssh, nfs, Samba, mail) and containers. Learners utilize various system utilities to complete their tasks, concepts are illustrated by studying the operation of an open-source Linux operating system [RedHat, Fedora, Ubuntu or a combination of various distributions] in comparison with MS Windows wherever applicable.
