This course explores current health and social issues affecting diverse migrant populations before, during, and after migration within a global and Canadian context. A health equity and social justice perspective will be used to critically examine the structural factors that impact migrants health and access to health care services. Students will have the opportunity to explore the role of a community health nurse in supporting and promoting migrants social determinants of health.
