Medical Aesthetic Nursing Theory and Principle

This theoretical course provides an in-depth exploration of foundational facial anatomy and the principles underlying key aesthetic procedures, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies. It also covers therapeutic and psychological applications such as migraine, TMJ disorders, hyperhidrosis, and body dysmorphic disorder. Students will futher develop knowledge in comprehensive patient assessment and the recognition of complications and emergencies, including vascular occlusion, allergic reactions, and anaphylaxis. The course highlights ethical principles and adherence to College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) standard.
