This course examines essential components for developing successful business strategies for employment within the wellness industry. Students discover entrepreneurship fundamentals and apply innovative thinking to create a new business concept. Using a practical approach students will design a realistic product/service, identify a target market, and develop marketing, operations and financial models. Students showcase a prototype of their realistic business model in a pitch presentation. Through this course, students will explore individual strengths using science-based Gallup CliftonStrengths and leverage these strengths for informed career decisions and develop essential skills in leadership and team collaboration. As part of this course, students will create a professional E-portfolio which can play a key role in their career development process.
