Students explore Project Management Analytic & Reporting tools used by data-driven organizations to guide decision-making and communicate results to diverse internal/external audiences. Students leverage datasets for project scheduling using the Project Management Institutes "Scheduling Practice Standard" as its foundation. Through a combination of lectures, case reviews, lab sessions, research, exercises and presentations, students get hands-on experience using Microsoft's MS Project, Jira, BI/Data Visualization Tools, Road mapping platforms, and AR/VR Project Management tools that reinforce best practices in the following areas: schedule/budget management, analysis, communication, collaboration, and reporting. Assignments and grading will be based on several datasets, case studies and reports.
