In this course learners focus on construction project management. Learners examine the day-to-day role of the construction project manager (CPM) and key issues of initiating, planning and design, executing, monitoring and control and closing of the construction project. They engage with approaches to CPM which view the project in a more integrated way. Learners learn about key tools including; the Bar Chart, network diagrams, site diary, measurement and the payment certificate, the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), risk register, Building Information Modeling (BIM), project charter and the use of construction bonds, insurance and CCDC form of contract.
