In this course, students examine the Ontario statutory regime governing the residential landlord and tenant relationship, including the procedures, practices and interpretative guidelines of the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board empowered to enforce the rights and duties of landlords and tenants. Students will develop experience with the practice and procedures of contested proceedings of the Board by examining and completing forms relating to the enforcement of rights and obligations belonging to both tenants and landlords, as well as engage in critical observation of Board hearings.
