This course introduces students to theories and practices of conflict resolution. Students examine the roots of conflict from a personal-neuroplasticity, historical, cultural, and contemporary perspective. They also study the various conflict intervention techniques used by criminal justice and social justice organizations and practitioners. They will also explore the complexities of social trauma and oppression as features of organizational and social forms of conflict.
