This course builds on the first-semester course Communicating through Digital & Social Media by providing more practice with digital tools, delving deeper into specialized uses of these tools and introducing a strategic component that helps students to select appropriate digital media, build campaigns and develop a knowledge of how to measure results using analytics tools. Students learn to write for a diversity of online audiences, platforms and screen sizes using current social media platforms. They study best practices of effective digital campaigns, including ways to integrate social media with overall communications plans and how to use metrics and measurements to evaluate online success.
