An integral component of the Regulatory Affairs program is providing students an opportunity to integrate and translate theoretical learning into real work settings. Students' internship placements are carried out in a variety of regulatory sectors focusing on practical skill development. Internship placements also provide a platform for students to carry out tasks more independently, while supervised. Students complete a 12-week placement, based on a 37.5-hour training week, providing a total of 450 hours of work-integrated experience with an approved employer. Students also have an opportunity to observe and learn from experienced personnel in a professional work setting, while focusing on a competency-based learning framework. The experience also provides students with valuable networking opportunities in preparation for a career in related fields.
