This course introduces physical fitness, and its relationship to sport performance. The course largely focuses on the components of fitness, sport training, and sport nutrition. Students examine these components with a specific emphasis on how they relate to a wide variety of sports. This course provides students with an understanding of the specificity and nuances involved in sport training as well as the relationship between 'High Performance' and 'Administration' in Sport, which will allow them to communicate more effectively with various stakeholders in the sport delivery system. These stakeholders include technical sport staff, coaches, and sport development staff of community, provincial and national sport organizations and various team personnel.
