In this Work-Integrated Learning course, students learn foundational skills and engage in practical experiences that have direct application to the Social Services field. Using the lens of Social Service Worker theories and frameworks, students learn and practice skills essential to the workplace such as group skills, healthy boundaries and effective communication. Students are challenged in the examination of personal and professional values and ethics of the Social Service Worker profession. This course prepares students for the second Field Experience.
