In this Work-Integrated Learning course, students engage in practical experiences that have direct application to the Social Services field. Using the lens of Social Service Worker theories and frameworks, students practice and demonstrate skills essential to the workplace such as critical thinking, effective communication and teamwork. Students are challenged in the examination of personal and professional values and ethics of the Social Service Worker profession. This course prepares students for the second part of their final Field Experience, building upon the skills and experiences of SSW 157.
