Building off of the second Work-Integrated Learning course, students continue to engage in practical experiences that have direct application to the Social Services field. Using the lens of Social Service Worker theories and frameworks, students take a leadership role in demonstrating skills essential to the workplace such as critical thinking, advocacy and holistic self-care. Learning will focus on how to navigate complex moral, ethical, clinical and political issues. Students continue to be challenged in the examination of personal and professional values and ethics of the Social Service Worker profession. This course prepares students in transition from student to professional Social Service Worker.
