This is an introductory course in statistics for business students. Emphasis is on the application of statistical methods in the following business areas: accounting, marketing, supply chain management, management studies, finance, e-business marketing, hospitality and tourism management, human resources management, international business, and fashion management. Topics include descriptive statistics, correlation and regression, probability and probability distributions, sampling distribution and the central limit theorem, estimation and confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, chi-square test, and analysis of variance.
