Students explore the benefits that emerge when health care and community service professionals work collaboratively within and across systems to provide comprehensive services for patients, their families, caregivers and communities. Learners employ practices that align with models of Interprofessional collaboration to experience the critical role such collaboration plays in improving access to seamless client-centred health care and community services. Students acquire the necessary skills to respond to the practical challenges of implementing a collaborative approach to service delivery.
