In this course, students bridge their knowledge of TCM theory, diagnostic methods, herbology and acupuncture to a theoretical clinical practice. Students compare typical signs, symptoms, aetiology, and pathogenesis of TCM internal illnesses before developing a syndrome differentiation to determine treatment goals and strategies, taking into account precautions and contraindications. Students master a clinical approach to TCM internal illnesses encompassed by the Liver and Kidney systems, and miscellaneous diseases, complying with the regulatory colleges entry-level occupational competencies as well as clinically relevant illnesses.
