The Adult ESL Learner course provides foundational knowledge in theories of language acquisition relevant to adult ESL education, including factors that impact upon it. The foundation is comprised of an understanding of broad learning theories, principles of adult learning, first and second language acquisition, and factors that influence learning, specifically those that are individual to a learner and those constructed socially.
