Students will examine a wide variety of creative approaches for working in the performing arts and will learn the foundational process of interdepartmental collaboration which is required of all theatrical work. This course will provide students with the tools and vocabulary necessary for seeking work in the creative industry. Students will be introduced to a range of work in order to expand their knowledge to the range of artistic possibilities. Students will be asked to create documents and letters appropriate to displaying and relating education and work experiences to potential employers specific to the live entertainment field. Students will also be asked to engage in conversations and discussions around the current industry landscape, and will be asked to do research around the options available and tools necessary to encourage a fulfilling career in the arts.
