This course covers applications of linear and non-linear relationships; formula rearrangement applicable to HRAC programs; solving linear and fractional equations; word problems; exponents and radical expressions, graphs and plots of measured data and linear equations; graphs of sine waves; radian measure, arc length and area of a sector; lines, angles and curves of shapes such as pipes and ducts; polygons; trigonometric ratios; solving right triangles and vectors as related to forces; solving oblique triangles with applications to HRAC construction; working with formulas related to laws in electrical circuits, gas laws and temperature of mixtures.
